Isobars

Isobars are lines on a map that connects points that have an equal amount of atmospheric pressure at a certain time. This "L" stands for low pressure and the "H" stands for high pressure. The circles around the L and H are called isobars. Where the pressure is low, there will usually be precipitation whereas the pressure is high, there is usually sunny, clear weather. When the isobars are close to each other, there is usually a windy climate in that region.
